Event

At our last meeting we decided to merge our regular meetings into one meeting/celebration on the second Thursday of December and to lengthen our third Thursday meeting in January into our annual Strategy Retreat (which means adding an early potluck and stretching out the meeting a bit.) Another reason for the December meeting change is that on the first Thursday in December, there will be another screening of Operation Terror, a benefit for No Lies Radio, plus a screening of Solving the Mystery of WTC 7 with Richard Gage, Ken Jenkins, film producer Art Olivier, MC'ed by Bonnie Faulkner in Pleasant Hill. Please mark the changes on your calendar!

1) Third Sunday Monthly Freeway Blogging
Sunday, 18 November 2012 - 12:00pm
I-80 Overpass South of University in Berkeley (Addison St.)
This is a great way to get the word out to massive numbers - and to remind yourself and others that we are not alone. We meet on the Berkeley pedestrian overpass and display banners of peace, truth, justice, and accountability to all the traffic passing underneath. We have a few huge banners ("9/11 Truth for Peace", and "Expose the 9/11 Cover-Up" for example), so all you need to do is come out with your positive attitudes and mingle with fellow activists.

Project Censored Book Launch presents the release of Censored 2013: The Top Censored Stories and Media Analysis of 2011-12.
“Project Censored brings to light some of the most important stories of the year that you never saw or heard about. This is your chance to find out what got buried.”—DIANE RAVITCH, author of The Death and Life of the Great American School System
“Censored is a refreshing open mic for news stories that have been left in the shadows by the cowardly corporate media and its obsession with banalities.”—JOEL MAGNUSON, author of Mindful Economics
“Project Censored remains a beacon for raising awareness of meaningful news . . . ”—JAMES F. TRACY, Associate Professor of Media Studies at Florida Atlantic University, editor of Democratic Communiqué, journal of the Union for Democratic Communications
“In another home run for Project Censored, Censored 2013 shows how the American public has been bamboozled, snookered, and dumbed down by the corporate media. It is chock-full of ‘ah-ah’ moments where we understand just how we’ve been fleeced by banksters, stripped of our civil liberties, and blindly led down a path of never-ending war.”—MEDEA BENJAMIN, confounder of Global Exchange and Code Pink.
And don’t miss Mickey Huff and Peter Phillips on The Project Censored Show on KPFA Pacifica Radio every Friday at 8am Pacific.

6) Listening for a Change - On the Eleventh of Every Month
Sunday, 11 December 2012 - 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
Lytton Plaza, University & Emerson, Downtown Palo Alto
From October 2001 through October 2007 every week, except when it was raining; I set up tables, banners, chairs, food, educational material, and created a space for public dialogue on key issues. In November 2007 (when my weekly radio shows began), I began doing this on a monthly basis, on the 11th of every month, in solidarity with other activists worldwide (See http://www.truthaction.org.)
We ask the public three questions and write down their responses-
What do you think/feel about the events of September 11th and the U.S. government's response?
How could we defuse terrorism?"
How could we create a safer/better world for our children and all children?
Sponsored by Women's International League for Peace and Freedom and Northern California 9-11 Truth Alliance All welcome. For more information call Carol Brouillet 650-857-0927
